Darcy Harris has more than 20 years of experience handling complex business litigation. She has represented clients in a variety of high-profile disputes and bet-the-company cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. Darcy has been designated lead counsel in certified class actions, securing substantial settlements on behalf of employee classes, and has prosecuted numerous cases resulting in multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements.
Prior to joining Lewis & Llewellyn, Darcy practiced at two trial boutiques in Los Angeles, litigating high-stakes cases in a wide variety of fields, including toxic torts, product liability, personal injury & medical malpractice, intellectual property, employment law, legal malpractice, securities fraud, antitrust, and contract and business disputes, both at trial and on appeal.
Darcy has experience navigating complex procedural and political issues in international arbitrations and human rights cases, representing indigenous peoples suing sovereigns and multinational corporations, and victims of the Armenian Genocide and the Holocaust seeking restitution of cultural property. She also has substantial experience handling writ petitions and appeals in both state and federal courts.
After graduating from Harvard College cum laude, Darcy received her law degree from University of Washington, where she was a member of the Law Review and awarded Order of the Coif. She was selected by SuperLawyers as one of the “Rising Stars” of California law for several years.
Darcy brings expertise in navigating procedural issues and anticipating the ramifications of various strategies and legal positions, and collaborating to find creative solutions to complex problems where there is little or no precedent.
Outside of her legal practice, Darcy enjoys engaging with her community through leading in local politics on her neighborhood council, on several public school committees, and advocating in local land use and historic preservation issues.
