Erin Reding is an experienced litigator who focuses on complex, commercial litigation. She represents clients in contract litigation, fraud claims, fiduciary duty actions, founder disputes, and real estate disputes. Erin also works as an advocate for survivors of sexual abuse, handling cases against both individual perpetrators and responsible entities. She applies her years of experience in commercial cases to obtain favorable outcomes for survivors in pre-litigation negotiations and, when appropriate, through civil litigation. Lastly, Erin has worked in the public sector representing public entities in land use matters, compliance litigation, government contract disputes, employment cases, and civil rights claims.
Erin understands the importance of creating an individualized strategy that is tailored to each client and case. To that end, she aggressively pursues whatever endpoint best serves her clients’ goals, including mediation or settlement. When cases cannot be resolved without litigation, Erin’s experience spans all stages of litigation, from the filing of the complaint to trial.
Before joining Lewis & Llewellyn, Erin practiced at Moscone, Emblidge & Rubens, a litigation boutique in San Francisco. She also worked as a Deputy County Counsel for the County of Alameda and before that, as a litigation associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe where she practiced commercial and securities litigation related to stock options backdating, insider trading, and accounting fraud.
Erin was recognized as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for five consecutive years, before being named an official “Super Lawyer,” a designation identifying the top attorneys in the United States. Outside of the office, she spends time with her family, chasing her two children down the ski mountain, across the swimming pool, and up the nearest hiking trail.
