Jackson Willis is a commercial litigator who represents clients across a variety of industries and practice areas. Studying classical music taught him to never lose sight of the big picture even while focusing on the tiniest detail, and he applies this skill at every stage of litigation to best serve his clients.
Before joining Lewis & Llewellyn, Jackson was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. There, he defended clients in multiple securities class actions and advised them as they conducted internal or responded to government investigations. He also maintained an active pro bono practice focused mainly on immigration matters. Prior to law school, Jackson worked as a legal assistant at Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, where he worked on plaintiff-side employment matters and represented survivors of sexual violence.
During law school, Jackson served as a notes editor for the Stanford Law Review and was a member of Project Clean Slate, a pro bono clinic focused on helping formerly incarcerated individuals expunge their criminal records. He also interned at the ACLU of Hawai’i, focusing on litigation involving policing practices and incarceration, and externed at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office.
Outside the office, Jackson enjoys hiking, working out, and playing music. In addition to playing chamber music concerts with other local musicians, he plays clarinet with the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony, a community orchestra made up of queer musicians in the Bay Area.
