The lawsuit, filed against a Bay Area school district, was brought on behalf of the firm’s client who was sexually abused by a school janitor in 2001 when she was twelve years old. The settlement, reached on the day trial was to commence, was reported by the Daily Journal as one of California’s highest verdicts or settlements that week.
