Becca Furman is a civil litigation attorney who regularly represents clients in breach of contract, trade secret, and founder disputes. Working in the Bay Area, she represents many leading technology companies, start-up ventures, and high net worth individuals. Becca was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
Becca is experienced at representing clients at all stages of a lawsuit and always litigates with an eye toward trial. Her recent trial experience includes second-chairing a two month, multi-plaintiff jury trial resulting in a successful post-trial settlement.
Becca couples this trial experience with pragmatic litigation strategy, regularly obtaining successful outcomes for her clients outside the courtroom. She defended a leading SAP implementation company against allegations involving the alleged theft of trade secrets and the alleged violation of a noncompete agreement by a key employee. She negotiated an early resolution of the case, including a complete dismissal with prejudice of all claims without any monetary settlement. Becca has also negotiated multiple out-of-court settlements for individuals involved in co-founder disputes involving various Bay Area start-ups.
Becca regularly represents victims of sexual abuse and sexual assault in lawsuits against the public entities and private institutions that failed to protect them. Becca combines her litigation skills and extensive non-profit experience to provide her clients an aggressive, empathetic advocate who ensures that her clients have a strong voice in the legal system.
Outside of the office, Becca serves on the Associate Board of Girls of the Run of the Bay Area, an after-school nonprofit that teaches elementary schools girls life skills and confidence through a running-based curriculum. Becca can often be found trail running in Marin, practicing yoga, or baking sourdough bread.
