Matt Dickman is an experienced civil litigator, who routinely represents Fortune 500 companies in civil disputes of all types. Matt provides zealous advocacy for his clients, but also takes a pragmatic approach to litigation, working with clients to find creative and cost-effective solutions to resolve disputes.
After graduating with highest distinction from the University of Michigan, Matt received his law degree from UC Berkeley, where he was an Editor of the Law Review and selected as a member of the Order of the Coif (top 10% of his class). Matt’s publications in the Law Review have been cited by the Minnesota Supreme Court, the Iowa Supreme Court, and in dozens of scholarly works. Matt began his career in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins LLP.
Since joining Lewis & Llewellyn in 2014, Matt has represented some of the world’s leading companies across a variety of industries, securing numerous victories on behalf of those clients. As one such example, Matt obtained summary judgment in federal court in a multi-million dollar action against one of the world’s largest insurance companies. Matt also regularly represents the world’s leading consumer electronics manufacturer, having represented that client in over one hundred distinct matters since joining the firm. For two consecutive years, Matt has been selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor reserved for only 2.5% of attorneys.
When he is not practicing law, Matt can be found hiking with his family or traveling to Ann Arbor to watch Michigan football games.
